Free NHL Playoff Picks WILL Bounce Back Part 2

We WILL eat our words from our previous emphatic post.

After a perfect mark in the regular season, our Free NHL Picks are 0-2 in the playoffs. In both cases, we've picked favorites to win by two, and both times the favorites won... just not by two. So, had we ate a lot of juice, we still could have a perfect NHL record at the moment--but not much more profit than we do now, even with those two losses.

Tomorrow night, we WILL get back on track. Otherwise, we WILL stop capitalizing that word. And this time, we will lay the juice, only because it is manageable.

Free NHL Picks WILL Bounce Back Tomorrow

Alright, alright. So our impervious Free NHL Picks are apparently vulnerable to the toxic atmosphere of the playoffs. After an overtime loss, our Free NHL Picks are now at a miserable 80%, but we're not taking our pucks and going home. After much deliberation (about a half a month's worth), we're finally ready to jump back into the frozen waters of the NHL. The pick for tomorrow night's Game 1:

Vancouver Canucks -1 1/2 (+180) over the San Jose Sharks

That's right... not only are we picking the mighty Canucks to beat the tired legs of the Sharks (if sharks do indeed have legs), we're picking them to win by two for a healthy payout of +180. We figure this will more than make up for our playoff gaffe resulting in our only NHL blemish in 2010-11.

Good luck, like you need it. These are our Free NHL Picks we're talking about, after all.

Putting Our 100% Accurate Free NHL Picks to the Playoff Test

It's NHL Playoff time, which means we're finally going to dish out another Free NHL Pick. Our puck picks, as you know, have not lost in the 2010-11 season! Nevermind that we've only had four picks all year, we are perfect! In fact, we're willing to bet that we're the only ones on the planet that have bet at least four NHL games this season and have yet to lose. Go ahead, prove us wrong.

After a blemish-free regular season, we're putting it all on the line with some playoff hockey action. There's one game tomorrow night, and wouldn't you know it, we're on it.

The Flyers are down a game already in the series, but they have a chance to even it up at home, and with a puck line of just -135, we're all over that juice.

About Those Super Bowl XLV Prop Bet Results...

...The title of the post many of you wish you had seen on this site one month ago. You can count us in that bunch. We were all ready to go with our recap of Super Bowl XLV until experiencing some major technical difficulties. By the time we could finally post it, it was so irrelevant that we didn't even bother. And now, here we are, posting it anyway. Not the actual post, but at least acknowledgement that yes, we had planned on posting our Super Bowl XLV Prop Bet results.

As you might have read, we are knee deep into Super Bowl prop bets, and pride ourselves on the content we produce around that time. Unfortunately, that was cut short this year (though fortunately we were able to post everything we intended on leading up to the game).

Please accept the above picture of a bacon bra as our apology. We feel that is more than adequate.

So, with that vague explanation of our absence, let's get back to posting pictures of scantily-clad women and dishing out Free NHL Picks (which are still undefeated, by the way)!

Free NHL Picks Improve to 4-0 in 2010-11

Shockingly, we haven't had a Free NHL Pick all year! We have held off on a few plays in 2011 and finally pulled the trigger with Philly tonight, resulting in our fourth Free NHL Pick win in four attempts this season.

It didn't start pretty, as the Flyers found themselves down to the Sabres 2-0 at the start, but it wasn't anything five unanswered goals couldn't take care of.

And so, we are 4-0 in our Free NHL Picks, roughly 100% if we're any good at math. This is a good thing, because once the NFL season ends, there will be a lot more hockey action around here.

A Quick update from yesterday's action:

Our 100% Accurate Free NHL Picks Return!

It's been about a week (read: too long) since our last Free NHL Pick, so we haven't been able to build off of our 2-0 start on the ice this season.

Part of our system requires us to stay disciplined, but certainly we would like to have more picks at this point. There is no sense in being 100% and only betting on two games all year, right?

Finally, though, we have a third game today on this busy hockey Saturday.

Stock Lemon's 1,000th Post: Celebrating Another Free NHL Pick Victory

We aren't one for blog milestones, but as we went to publish the fact that our Free NHL Picks have started the year at 2-0, we realized this was post 1,000 here at Stock Lemon.

We know that some blogs might make 1,000 posts in a month or week or even day, but for us, that is somewhat of a lot of posts. We will celebrate our third birthday here on December 25th (the same day as Jesus!), as we made our first post in the wee hours of Christmas morning, 2007.

In addition to celebrating with a 100% perfect Free NHL Picks record (we are going to gloat about that as long as we can), we'd also like to celebrate post 1,000 with a random picture of a very sexy nurse. Enjoy!

No college football action tomorrow but you can be sure we will be back with more 63% Free NFL Picks, even if only a few as has been the case lately.

Free NHL Picks Look to Remain Perfect!

As our sensationalist headline suggests, we did indeed earn a victory in our first Free NHL Pick of the season earlier this week. We still aren't sure what kind of frequency these picks will churn up, but already we have one tonight. If you're willing to lay the chalk.

Duck Yes! Free NHL Picks Are 100%!

So far, so good for our newly unveiled Free NHL Picks system. The Anahiem Ducks defeated the Edmonton Oilers in an exciting 10-round shootout to ensure that our Free NHL Picks got off on the right webbed foot. And we intend on maintaining this 100% AT LEAST until tomorrow.

We weren't kidding about the long process involved with getting our Free NHL Picks up to speed. It's not like we are just randomly picking games based off what some internet forums say. We put over a month into our data spreadsheet that we use for these picks and it has payed off in our first attempt.

In the grand scheme of things, 1-0 is hardly anything to be proud of. It's one game, after all. Still, it's nice to see hard work rewarded with a victory the first time out.

Coming Soon: 2010-11 Free NHL Picks

Though football has consumed almost all of our time these last few months, we've gotten a few inquiries about whether or not we would be betting on other sports.

Our first reaction was, holy crap! You mean there are other sports?!

Our second reaction was remembering that, yes, we used to bet on these other sports quite a bit. Our Free NBA Picks were once the bread and butter of this site (then again, so were stocks), but we've lost faith in our system over the last year and a half to the point that we are now proceeding with exceed caution in that department.

What you will start seeing... eventually... is some Free NHL Picks, which we've had in the past but not to the volume with which we plan on posting this season. You know... eventually.

We're letting the early season numbers work themselves out, but December should bring about our first puck action this year.

In the meantime, check out our friends over at The Hockey Program, who have all sorts of great hockey coverage to get your ready for our (eventual) 2010-11 batch of Free NHL Picks.

We plan on ripping off Lexus and having a December to Remember, so be sure to check back often (in November too!) as we help you earn a little Christmas bonus that your boss is too cheap to give out this year.

Finals Week

For the most part, schools are out for the summer, but that doesn't mean that Finals week is over. With the NBA Finals and the NHL Stanley Cup in progress, we couldn't help but emerge from our hibernation to give you a couple of predictions. 

In the NHL, we like the Red Wings to take the deciding Game 7 over the Penguins, beating Pittsburgh for the Stanley Cup for the second straight year. 

In the NBA, although the Magic are fresh off a game three victory, we like the Lakers to take care of business in six games. The series is currently at 2-1 in favor of LA. 

While the NBA and NHL seasons come to a close, Stock Lemon will likely emerging out of its peel for the summer ahead. Our ventures on tap include a foray back into stocks (the original inspiration behind our name) as well as more sports and sports betting analysis. 

So don't worry, we will be back. Just make sure you're back as well.

We Should Bet on the NHL More Often

So far, so good in the NHL. 

Our first Free NHL Pick of the entire year came in the first round of the NHL playoffs this year. And our first pick of the entire year was a winner.

The Ducks beat the Sharks, 2-0, going way under the 5 1/2 goal mark. By doing so, the Sharks and Ducks gave us our first Free NHL Pick victory in our first NHL game. 

This system is still extremely experimental, but hey, it's hit with 100% accuracy thus far, so why not ride out this experiment?

More picks will follow, so stay tuned. 

How About a Free NHL Pick?

We realize that, yes, there are hockey fans out there. We have a rough NHL playoff system that we're going to try out for the playoffs, but be warned--we haven't bet on hockey all year. 

We just thought we'd try this out, so if it works, great. Play with extreme caution, though. We're putting a very small amount on these games. 

That being said, here's tonight's pick:

Hopefully we have some success with this, so that we can take it all the way to the Stanley Cup and actually watch the NHL like we used to in the good old days.

Records Update

Just thought we'd update everyone on our records for the sports that are currently in season. These are only the results for our most recent systems, one of which is still in its infancy (NCAA Basketball).

Free NBA Picks: 22-10... 69%
Our NBA Picks have been on fire lately, hitting eight of their last nine after our eight game winning streak was finally snapped.

Free NCAA Basketball Picks: 2-1... 67%
We finally have the system back to where it needs to be and are looking forward to a profitable month.

Free NHL Picks: 4-2... 67%
We usually only bet on hockey on slower days, mainly because we bet on puck lines, which not a lot of books offer. We figure that if they aren't doing our readers any good, why post them? Nevertheless, we've had some success with those, although it sometimes requires laying a little bit of wood.

As you can see we've been consistent and we've been profitable for our followers, so bookmark us or tell your friends or set us as your homepage--anything to prevent you and yours from missing out on our reliable and successful picks. Which, by the way, are free.
