Just How We Drew it Up, Free MLB Picks Are 100% in 2011

And that's the way that we expect our Free MLB Picks to go all season.

The Brewers edged the Twins, overcoming a 7-0 deficit to earn a one-run win in Minnesota and give our first Free MLB Pick of the season a winning result.

So, after a long wait, there you have it: our Free MLB picks are officially hitting 100% in 2011 (1-0).

As we mentioned, now that we have the system the way we like it, we'll be rolling out many more Free MLB Picks in the coming weeks.

Brewing Up a Free MLB Pick

Though we've been avoiding baseball like the plague this summer, we do like the value in this pick today:

Milwaukee Brewers -112 over the Minnesota Twins

Very manageable chalk on a pitching matchup we like, with the underrated Chris Narveson on the mound for Milwaukee.

This is our first Free MLB Pick of the year, if you can believe it, but we're hoping to get something going beginning with interleague play. Our system historically takes a couple months before we are confident in the data, and usually we make the mistake of rolling picks out too early and getting appropriately frustrated and swearing them off. Now, in addition to our newfound love of Arena Football, we intend to have plenty of summer wagers in the month of July.

You asked for more free picks, and you shall receive. Of course, that won't stop us from continuing our analysis on legal gambling, aka the stock market.

2011 Free MLB Picks: Also Coming Soon

We have a lot to look forward to here at Stock Lemon. There's the Final Four, the NFL Draft, some random Arena Football League bets, maybe even some MLS action.

But let's not forget about baseball!

Our Free MLB Picks will be back and better than ever (which is to say, we'll have more than five of them throughout an entire summer... we think).

Like many of our systems (except the Free NFL Picks, which are our best), we'll start slow and ease into the baseball action, waiting to accumulate enough data on the 2011 MLB season. Once we get going though, then we'll really start cooking, likely posting a few picks a week before completely disappearing in July and pretending to not miss a beat when we return in August. Blogging works in mysterious ways.

The point is, our Free MLB Picks will return shortly after the season begins this week, so be sure to sporadically check our site until football season.

Somewhere along the lines, we lost faith in our Free MLB Pick system. Once football crept up, we completely abandoned the thing. But make no mistake, just because we haven't been betting on games doesn't mean we haven't been watching. At least enough to give our World Series prediction.

There is money to be made in this series, as there has been all playoffs, on the San Francisco Giants. This scrappy young team is built to win and should edge the Texas Rangers in the least-watched World Series in television history.

We're approaching the dog days of summer, but around here there will be no such thing. The summer of 2010 will be packed with MLB and World Cup betting action, along with plenty more.

We were hoping to have another Free MLB Pick for you over the weekend, but it didn't materialize. Expect one before the end of this week, however.

In the meantime, if you're feeling adventurous enough to make your own picks, check out the baseball whip stats for pitchers before putting money on them.

If baseball isn't your thing, though, NFL Free agency continues to rage on. Now that the draft has concluded, you can see the full list of NFL undrafted free agents. Plenty of info to keep you busy for at least a part of the summer.

Angels Lift Free MLB Picks to 67%

Like we've been saying, quality over quantity. Though we've only had six Free MLB Picks to date, we've one four of them, giving us a nice 67% on the year. As we've also been saying, they will pick up as the season goes on, but are a little slow in the beginning of the year when the statistical data available isn't as reliable. Patience, lemon lovers.

The Angels blanked the A's 4-0 last night to give us the win and another Free MLB Pick is possible before the weekend... ends.

As we hinted at, we do indeed have another Free MLB Pick, today. Unfortunately, it doesn't involve the Braves, but we like it anyway.

Our picks are hitting 75% so far early in the year, so let's keep it going!

Free MLB Picks Hitting 1.000 Against the Braves

We've been very Brave with our Free MLB Picks so far this year, and it's been paying off. We are now 2-0 when betting against the Braves, which, considering we've only had four picks overall, seems like we have some personal vendetta against them.

That's not the case, of course, but if its within reach of our system, we won't hesitate to pull the trigger again. Sorry Bobby Cox, it's nothing personal!

The Phillies beat the Braves 7-0 tonight, giving us a 3-1 (75%) record this season. Some of you have expressed some frustration at the fact that we are a month in the season and have only had four picks, but we'll say this again: the system takes a little time, but once the picks start coming, they don't stop.

And if they are going to hit at a 75% clip all year, they'll be worth the wait.

There's the possibility for a weekend play, so check back early and often!

Nationals Make it 67% For Free MLB Picks

So what if they are only 2-1, our Free MLB Picks are now batting .667 on the year after the Nationals took care of the Braves today. The best part about it is, they're only 2-1. That means that plenty more picks are on their way here at Stock Lemon.

From the looks of it, we won't have a play tomorrow, but the end of the week has a few possible matchups as of now.

In baseball, hitting .500 is pretty darn good. In baseball betting, it's not great. It's not terrible, but it's not great.

Not that we're overreacting either way. We've only had two picks. But as our Free MLB Pick system picks up, as it will and already might be, we hope that our win percentage is much higher than a couple of the best batting averages--combined.

With that said, let's try to get up to .667 with a home run today. Here's our pick:

Cardinals Give Us Free MLB Pick Win!

We'd like to say that we've had a ton of Free MLB Picks so far, but obviously, that just hasn't been the case this year. We anticipate them picking up, as we said, but it's more important that we pick up wins when we do have plays.

And we did that on Monday.

The Cardinals knocked of the Braves to put us at 1-1 for the year (can you believe we've only had two picks thus far?). It's looking like we'll have another pick by the end of the week, and maybe even two, so stay tuned.

Brewers Give Our Free MLB Picks a Win!

We haven't had too many Free MLB Picks this summer, as the system cooled off considerably last yaer at this time and we didn't want to go through the same thing this year. We decided to pull the trigger on a pick last night, though, and we were rewarded.

The Brewers beat the Dodgers 4-1 to give us a win in the MLB (and at +134), improving our Free MLB Picks to 100% this month! Hooray!

Due to the success of the pick, we might irresponsibly force out a few more in the coming days out of over-excitement. So stay tuned for that.
