Somewhere along the lines, we lost faith in our Free MLB Pick system. Once football crept up, we completely abandoned the thing. But make no mistake, just because we haven't been betting on games doesn't mean we haven't been watching. At least enough to give our World Series prediction.

There is money to be made in this series, as there has been all playoffs, on the San Francisco Giants. This scrappy young team is built to win and should edge the Texas Rangers in the least-watched World Series in television history.

We'll take it as a bad sign that we have so many plays this early, but nevertheless, here are two more Free MLB Picks for today.

We're betting on the Braves after betting them yesterday, hoping that they don't pull a Marlins on us and lose again. It's already make or break time for this year's system, so play these things with caution. We don't trust them too much at the moment.

3-1 MLB Day!

As you may have noticed, we decided to do something we rarely ever do on major sporting events--not place a bet. We had no strong leans on Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Celtics and Lakers, so we decided to sit back and enjoy some quality basketball.

Just because there wasn't a Free NBA Pick, though, doesn't mean that we didn't bet at all today. In fact, we focused on the MLB and played all four games from our new system. The results: a profitable 3-1 day.

The Rangers (+106) topped the Royals, the Rockies (-177) edged the Giants, and the Blue Jays (-180) took care of the Mariners, improving this new system to 7-4 after a couple of rough games yesterday.

Our regular Free MLB Pick system was uncharacteristically hovering around .500 to start the year, and while we plan on playing some of those games in the future, we are sticking with this new system geared toward home favorites and pitching match-ups.

All or Nothing With the New System

After a tough day yesterday, we still intend to play every game of this new system for the time being, since it has been successful when we weren't posting these plays. What we didn't expect, though, was for the system to have four plays today. Regardless, we're sticking to our word and playing all four. Keep in mind that this system is relatively new, so play these at your own risk.

It's been a while since we've had a Free MLB Pick, as we're being extremely picky with the system to ensure that only the strong plays end up as Free MLB Picks for the readers here at Stock Lemon. And, finally, we have a strong play for our faithful readers today.

Seattle Mariners ML -116 over the Texas Rangers

In case you missed it, there's a little bit of bad blood between these two teams at the moment, possibly stemming from the time Richie Sexson threw a helmet at and then tackled Rangers pitcher Kason Gabbard... four days ago.

We like Big Sexy's Mariners to take the Rangers down like Gabbard today. Good luck and let's hope for another brawl!

Happy President's Day!

What better way to celebrate President's Day than with a big ol' picture of our current Commander in Chief, George W. Bush. Before becoming boss of the country, he was boss of the MLB's Texas Rangers, and has always had a huge interest in sports.

Even though he's wearing a Nationals jacket above, a team we would probably never willingly bet on, we have a gut feeling that the President is a closet Stock Lemon follower.
