Free NCAA Football Bowl Picks Finish 90%

That, ladies and gentlemen, is how you finish a season.

Our Free NCAA Football Bowl Picks finished at 9-1 during the bowl season after Auburns national championship win over Oregon in the BCS championship tonight, giving us a 90% postseason record in college football.

The 9-1 bowl season elevates are Free NCAA Football Picks to 55% for the year (64-53-1), not where we would have liked them to be but still relatively successful and profitable.

All in all, it's been a good year of football for us, as our Free NFL Picks are hitting at a 61% clip as well. The only downside to all of this: no college football until August.

Fortunately, there is still the NFL Playoffs, and our picks are off to a 2-0 start there. Stay with us through the playoffs right up to the 2011 Super Bowl XLV (45), where our world famous prop bet analysis will return as we look at every betting angle in this year's Super Bowl.

Roll Tide!

After a big cover, we usually rub it in with a post about our dead-on pick. In 2010, our resolution was to let our picks do the talking. Well, most of the talking.

We had our first pick of 2010 earlier this week with the BCS National Championship Game. Alabama took care of Texas on Thursday, covering the -4 1/2 point spread and giving us a perfect 1-0 record this decade.

Although we are done with college football picks for the year, stay tuned to Stock Lemon for plenty of playoff football action, including our earlier pick today!

Free BCS Championship Pick

And now, for our first pick of the 2010 betting season!

We'll have plenty of NFL playoff coverage this weekend (including picks in every game), but first, we'll end the NCAA Football season with our Free BCS Championship Pick.

Alabama -4 1/2 over Texas

Roll Tide tonight! We like Mark Ingram's Tide to beat Colt McCoy's Longhorns, just like Ingram edged McCoy for the Heisman.

Good luck!

Final Free NCAA Football Record

The NCAA Football season is over, meaning that our Free NCAA Football Picks are done for the year as well. Here are the final tallies from a year filled with mediocrity.

Regular Season: 28-25-1... 53%
Bowl Games: 5-4... 56%
Overall: 33-29-1... 53%

Just like the BCS, our system was a little flawed this year. Although we're disappointed by the meager 53%, we're happy to have at least finished with a winning record this season, especially after the disastrous Week 5.

These picks will be back next season, but we hope you'll stop by sometime before then.

And Your National Champion is...

Our Free NCAA Football Picks went out with a bang as Florida beat Oklahoma 24-14 to cover the -4 1/2 spread (or -6 if you didn't bet until kickoff) in the BCS Championship Game.

What this means, of course, is that we can finally crown this year's National Champion... the Utah Utes!

At 13-0, Utah is the clear National Champion in the absence of a college football playoff system.

Congratulations to the Gators on their second place finish.

BCS Championship Game Pick

It's been a fun year of college football (aside from the continuing lack of a playoffs system), but as they say, all good things must come to and end.

That end for our Free NCAA Football Picks is the BCS Championship Game between Florida and Oklahoma. In what is essentially a home game for Florida, we were faced with a choice.

Do we put our money on the Sooners, who boast the Heisman Trophy winning Sam Bradford? Or, do we bet on the Gators, who boast the Lemmy Award winning Gator Bait message board?

In the end, it was an easy decision.

Florida -4 1/2 over Oklahoma

Since apparently this is a pretty big game, we thought we'd get our pick out a day early, giving you plenty of time to check it out.

Good luck and congratulations on making it through another bowl season without having to take out a second mortgage on your house. Well, at least not because of any bets you made.
