Tulane Gives Us Win Number Two For The Day

After Air Force took care of Colorado State earlier today, we were left with two more conference tournament plays on our card today, and went 1-1.

Unspectacular as that may be, it gives us a 2-1 winning day, which we'll gladly take.

Tulane beat East Carolina 69-59 to cover a -3 spread and give us our second win of the day, making it five of the last seven for our Free NCAA Basketball Picks

As a commentor so kindly pointed out (rubbed in), our brand new feed via FeedReader boasted a total of zero readers thus far, so we'll just go ahead and assume that everyone has Stock Lemon set as their home page.

If not, make sure to add us to your feed by checking out the Updates From Lemmy section on the right hand side of the page. As you'll see, to save ourselves embarrassment, we've changed the FeedReader so that it no longer displays the amount of readers that follow us through that method. We'll wait until more people add us to their RSS before throwing that back up again.

More Conference Tournament Picks

Wednesday means an explosion of conference tournaments are underway, and we have a few first round picks for you.

Our Free NCAA Basketball Picks have won three of four and hopefully that will continue tonight.

Air Force +3 over Colorado State

Tulane -3 over East Carolina

UC Irvine -2 over UC Davis Aggies

Good luck with a nice three-game slate today!

3-1 Day Keeps Free NCAA Football Picks Hot

Our Free NCAA Football Picks have finally started living up to expectations. After struggling through the beginning of the year, our picks were just 14-14 coming into today. After a solid 3-1 day today, our picks are now 17-15, which is definitely a step in the right direction.

Chase Daniel threw five touchdowns as Missouri trampled Colorado 58-0 to cover the -23 point spread, Rice beat down Tulane 42-17, covering the +3 spread, and California edged UCLA 41-20 to cover a -17 spread.

Now that we're finally back over the .500 hump, here's a look at how our picks have done on a week-by-week basis.

Week 1: 1-2
Week 2: 2-2
Week 3: 3-2
Week 4: 3-1
Week 5: 0-5 :(
Week 6: 1-1
Week 7: 2-1
Week 8: 2-0
Week 9: 3-1
Total: 17-15... 53%

We've improved every week since our disastrous Week 5, and we look for more positive results the rest of the way.

Three Big NCAA Football Bets

Our Free NCAA Picks are finally back to .500 at a pedestrian 14-14, but we're hoping to get over the hump with some real solid plays this week, led by Chase Daniel and Missouri.

We like a lot of big favorites this week to do what they are supposed to do, and will gladly take this kind of chalk for the value we are getting in return.

Missouri -23 over Colorado

Georgia Tech -13 over Virginia

Rice +3 over Tulane

Good luck!

Two NCAA Basketball Plays Tonight

We still have a little bit of polishing to do to our Free NCAA Basketball system, which usually struggles a little during conference tournaments before bouncing back in the NCAA tournament. That being said, these are small plays today. Judging by the results of tonight's games, we'll be able to tell if we are ready for March Madness or not.

Marshall Thundering Herd -2 over the Tulane Green Wave

California Golden Bears -2 over the Washington Huskies

Good luck!
