Will the Heat Win the 2011 NBA Finals?

Alright, Alright. So LeBron James didn't sign with the Knicks, instead opting to join forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami. But the question now is, will the Heat win it all in 2010-11, even with, basically, three players?

Well, if the odds tell us anything, they have a chance. More like, the best chance. Check out the top four teams according to their odds to take home the NBA crown next year:

Miami Heat... 7/4

LA Lakers... 11/4

Orlando Magic... 10/1

Boston Celtics... 12/1

Of these, the Heat just don't quite belong yet. They will be able to build around the big three eventually, but the Lakers are the clear cut favorites in our minds, to win the NBA Finals by way of a three-peat. So take this opportunity, with the public pounding the Heat due to the recent buzz, to pound the Lakers for yourself.

Where Will LeBron James Land in Free Agency?

The biggest free agent period in the history of the NBA is underway, so what are the odds that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh or one of the other big free agent names lands with your favorite team?

Well, as a matter of fact, if LeBron James is your target, here are the odds that he lands in Chicago, Cleveland, Miami, New York or New Jersey:

Bulls
+300 (or 3 to 1)

Cavaliers
-200 (or 1 to 2)

Heat
+450 (or 9 to 2)

Knicks
+500 (or 5 to 1)

Nets
+700 (or 7 to 1)

Our guess? We like those +700 odds for New Jersey (soon to be Newark soon to be Brooklyn). It's close enough to the big city of New York and the life that comes with it, but more importantly, billionaire Russian owner Mikhail Prokhorov offers LeBron his best shot at becoming a global icon. That, and it's +700! Considering that nobody really knows what LBJ is thinking, why not go big or go home on this one?

One thing is for sure, it should be an interesting weekend!

Wizards and Raptors Get the Job Done

Although we were unaware that Chris Bosh would be sitting prior to posting this play, it just goes to show how strong an over/under has to be in order to be considered for a Free NBA Pick.

With Bosh watching this one, the Raptors and Wizards managed to score 216 points, which is 24 more than we needed. A 56 point fourth quarter sealed the deal, and then the two teams added 18 points in overtime just to be safe.

The win tonight makes it 11 winners in the last 12 games for our Free NBA Picks, bumping them to 25-10 overall, which is over 71%. Stay tuned for more free picks, particularly in the NBA, where our unbelievable winning streak happens.

Wizards and Raptors and Lemons... Oh My!

Our Free NBA Picks are 24-10 this year, hitting 71%, including a current hot streak of 10-1 in the last 11. We have one medium sized play today.

Washington Wizards/Toronto Raptors Over 192

Our system doesn't usually grind out a lot of over/unders unless there is great value on the board, so look for a lot of scoring from Chris Bosh and the Raptors against the Wizards.

Good luck!

Raptors Cover Easily

Chris Bosh and the Raptors easily handled Vince Carter's Nets tonight, covering the -8 spread with a 109-91 victory. The Raptors triumph means yet another win for our Free NBA Picks, which are 16-9 in the last 25 games for a very solid 64% hit rate.

Even though the Raptors won by 18, it could have been much, much more if they didn't rest their key players with the game already sealed in the fourth quarter.

This turned out to be an easy win partly because the Raptors are better than the Nets and we knew it, but also partly because of Jason Kidd being traded--or at least thinking that he would be traded--to the Mavericks. As it turns out, he's not headed to Dallas just yet, but the teams were so close to striking a deal that the Nets didn't play their star point guard in this one.

Stay with us througout the week for more possible NBA plays , including bets on the NBA All-Star Game.

Raptors are the Free NBA Pick Tonight

Our Free NBA Picks are hitting about 63%, and we hope to continue our good fortune tonight with yet another play.

Toronto Raptors -8 over the New Jersey Nets

This line has great value all the way up to -10 for Chris Bosh and the Raptors, who look to shut down former Raptor Vince Carter tonight. Good luck!

Three Free NBA Picks!

If you've been following our Free NBA Picks daily, you know that they've hit 12 of their last 17 for an astounishing 71%. You also know that we usually have one play per day, except for the rare instances when we have two. Today, however, we have a grand total of three Free NBA Picks! They are:
Los Angeles Lakers +1 1/2 over the Orlando Magic

Detroit Pistons -11 over the Portland Trail Blazers

and our play of the day...

Toronto Raptors -9 1/2 over the Los Angeles Clippers

As always, we put one unit on the regular plays and two units on our play of the day. To constitute as a play of the day, the computer must show a heavy advantage one way or the other, and our numbers show us that the Raptors should actually be favored by 14 1/2.

Chris Bosh and the Raptors should have a field day with the Clippers, who are in complete disarray at this point.

For our other picks, we feel pretty confident in Rasheed Wallace and the Pistons putting the up-and-coming Trail Blazers in their place tonight. Wallace spent a better part of his career in Portland, so there's extra motivation for anybody looking at some Rasheed Wallace prop bets.

Finally, Kobe Bryant and the Lakers should be the favorites in Orlando tonight. After losing a tough one to the Hawks the other night, Kobe and the Lake Show will get back on track at the expense of the Magic.

Good luck and enjoy the three play day!
