Where Will LeBron James Land in Free Agency?

The biggest free agent period in the history of the NBA is underway, so what are the odds that LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Chris Bosh or one of the other big free agent names lands with your favorite team?

Well, as a matter of fact, if LeBron James is your target, here are the odds that he lands in Chicago, Cleveland, Miami, New York or New Jersey:

Bulls
+300 (or 3 to 1)

Cavaliers
-200 (or 1 to 2)

Heat
+450 (or 9 to 2)

Knicks
+500 (or 5 to 1)

Nets
+700 (or 7 to 1)

Our guess? We like those +700 odds for New Jersey (soon to be Newark soon to be Brooklyn). It's close enough to the big city of New York and the life that comes with it, but more importantly, billionaire Russian owner Mikhail Prokhorov offers LeBron his best shot at becoming a global icon. That, and it's +700! Considering that nobody really knows what LBJ is thinking, why not go big or go home on this one?

One thing is for sure, it should be an interesting weekend!

Cavs Come Through... Again

Once again, we took the Cavs at -6. Once again, they covered and won easily. Maybe we should stick to Cleveland.

The Cavs beat the Nets 106-82, giving us what looks to be, unfortunately, a 1-1 night. Hopefully our posting this at halftime of the Lakers/Bulls game will put some kind of jinx on the teams and they'll stop scoring and hit the under, which isn't even close at the moment.

We're going to enjoy this time, since for about an hour and a half longer, we're looking at a perfect 1-0 night.

Cavs Are a Free NBA Pick... Again

Though we've had just four Free NBA Picks so far, we've twice bet on the Cleveland Cavaliers (once in an over and once against the spread). We won the last time we bet on Cleveland at -6, so why not do it once more?

Cavaliers -6 over the Nets

Additionally, we have a total for tonight.

Bulls/Lakers UNDER 202

The reason for the under is that the last five times the Bulls over/under was listed as 190 or above, they've gone under. All three times they've gone under when it's been set at 200 or above. If that's not enough, the last nine times the Bulls and Lakers have met, they've gone under. Our system generally churns out more sides than totals, and if we were to choose one of these picks it would be the Cavs, but we're still putting the same amount of units on each--as we do with all our plays.

Good luck!

Betting on the NBA Draft

The NBA Draft is tomorrow, which means you can finally bet on something other than baseball! If you have the chance, take any of these bets, because this is how tomorrow's NBA Draft order will go.

1. Chicago Bulls- Derrick Rose
There's no way the Bulls pass on the Memphis point guard.

2. Miami Heat- Michael Beasley
Despite rumors that the Heat might take Mayo, Beasley has too much value to pass on.

3. Minnesota Timberwolves- O.J. Mayo
The Timberwolves will gladly scoop up whatever the Heat pass on.

4. Seattle SuperSonics- Jerryd Bayless
Seattle's been enamored with Bayless for months.

5. Memphis Grizzlies- Kevin Love
The Grizzlies, like the rest of the NBA, are truely in Love with this kid.

As the draft nears, these odds might get worse and worse, so act now! As we type, the odds on Rose to Chicago are already down to -600.

Bulls Cover

In a buzzer-beater bet (which we apologize for that if you did not get on it), we took the Bulls -5 1/2 over the Raptors. Chicago was able to pull out a 107-97 victory in their final game of the season, improving our NBA Free Picks record to 39-20 with one more pick pending.

Regular Season Finale

We have one NBA play to close out the season.

San Antonio Spurs -4 over the Utah Jazz

Good luck!

UPDATE: We are adding the Chicago Bulls -5 1/2 over the Toronto Raptors. The game starts in about five minutes so get this in quick!

Bulls and Magic Make it Four Straight

Thanks to textbook defense like Luol Deng crazily flying at a Jameer Nelson shot, we've won yet another NBA wager.

By scoring less than 204 combined points today, the Bulls and Magic have extended our Free NBA Pick winning streak to four games! The Magic won it 104-84, falling 16 points shy of the over/under.

Our record for the 2007-08 season is now 38-19, or 67%, and we're on another winning streak. Our Free NBA Picks are in playoff form, and we'll keep the winners coming if you keep coming back.

One Play Today

In case you didn't notice, there were no plays yesterday, but we're back with a small Free NBA Pick today.

Orlando Magic/Chicago Bulls UNDER 204

Our Free NBA Picks are 37-19 this year, which is 66%.

Two More Free NBA Picks

Our Free NBA Picks sre still hot, hitting 65% over the last 20 games, and our busy weekend continues with two more plays today.

Philadelphia 76ers -6 1/2 over the Los Angeles Clippers

Utah Jazz -11 over the Chicago Bulls

Samuel Dalembert and the Sixers have been playing better basketball lately and they are a good play as we continue to fade the Clippers.
As for the Jazz, Carlos Boozer and Co. should have no problem with the struggling Bulls. Good luck!
