Lakers Improve Free NBA Playoff Picks to 2-0

The Lakers squeaked out a cover against the Jazz in game one of their playoff series today, winning 113-100 to cover the -12 spread.

More importanly, LA gives us a 2-0 record in the postseason thus far, and 10-5 in 2009 (67%).

We'll hope to stay hot later tonight when the Nuggets take on the Hornets.

Keep following our hot Free NBA Picks and go Nuggets!

Two Free NBA Playoff Picks

When we said we wanted to play more NBA games, we meant it, but that doesn't mean we're ever going to a force a pick that doesn't have value.

We just wanted to clear that up, because today we have two Free NBA Picks.

Lakers -12 over the Jazz

Nuggets -6 over Hornets

As you can see, we like both home favorites today in the West. Our Free NBA Picks are 9-5 in 2009 (64%), and 1-0 in the playoffs! Woo hoo!

Good luck!

Well, Nevermind That

We were under the impression that Danny Granger was going to play tonight for the Pacers, but clearly that was not the case as they lost to the Jazz.

We actually held off of this play when we found out Granger was inactive, but obviously, since we posted the play and led everyone else to believe we were going to play it, the result is a tally in the loss column for our Free NBA Picks.

Oh well. Apologies to the members of the Danny Granger fan club, who were led to believe that their idol would take the court tonight.

Pacers Are the Pick Tonight

Danny Granger is back from injury and our Free NBA Picks system likes the Pacers at home tonight.

Pacers +3 1/2 over the Jazz

The Jazz have won 11 straight, but we're confident in our system.

Good luck!

Jazz Trying to Save Free NBA Picks

Our Free NBA Picks, as we might have mentioned, started the year off horribly except for when we backed the Cavaliers, who went 3-0 when our system called upon them.

After a short hiatus, our Free NBA Picks returned with a cover by the Utah Jazz. Now, we're trying to make the Jazz our new Cavs. You guessed it, the Jazz are a pick again tonight.

Jazz -10 over the Pacers

Our system happens to see a lot of value in Utah again, so we'll see what happens. For now, keep playing this picks with caution. As we've said before, they really hit their stride in about late January when the sample size of the statistical data we use is sufficient enough to produce some wins. Hopefully, we're approaching that point.

Good luck!

Free NBA Pick Are 100% in 2009!

Our Free NBA Picks are dominating the new year, boasting a 100% record in '09. Take that, Vegas Watch.

Nevermind that we've technically sort of kind of maybe only had one 2009 pick, we're still perfect this year in the NBA. On the season? Not so much.

Still, we'll take whatever moral victories we can get, especially if they coincide with an actual victory.

Our Free NBA Picks started taking off in late January last year, so hopefully the 116-90 win by the Jazz over the Hornets to cover the -4 spread is a sign of things to come.

We'll try to maintain this record for as long as we can, obviously, but don't forget how much these picks struggled in 2008.

Return of Our Free NBA Picks

After a rough start, we pulled the plug on our Free NBA Picks and decided to wait them out until we had a better sample size for our statistical data. Last year, if you recall, we didn't post our Free NBA Picks until late January. By doing so, we had all the information we needed entered into our spreadsheets to ensure the success of the picks.

This year, however, we started posting them right away, eager to repeat the 67% season from last year. Clearly, that was a mistake.

Today, though, we finally have another Free NBA Pick after a long layoff and a mini-overhaul of the system. If you play it, do so with caution, at least for now.

Jazz -4 over the Hornets

If ever there was a time to follow Vegas Watch's advice to fade our plays, this might be it.

Mother Knows Best

When Lemmy's mom is giving out our Free NBA Picks, it's always a good idea to take her advice. As they say, mother knows best.

That was the case today, as Deron Williams and the Jazz blew by Pau Gasol and the Lakers in overtime, 123-115, covering the -1 spread.

After a slow start, the Free NBA Playoff Picks have won four of the last six games, and we expect our system to continue picking winners now that we're seemingly back on track.

Enjoy the rest of your Mother's Day, and make sure to wish the same to one of our favorite mothers, Bookie Mom, as well.

Lemmy's Mother Makes a Pick

It's Mother's Day, and Lemmy would just like to take this opportunity to thank his mother for teaching him of her roots, letting him branch out, and leaving him his own space to be creative. Fore it was Lemmy's mother who inspired the creation of Stock Lemon when she proclaimed, "when life gives you lemons, start a gambling advice website."

So thank you, not only to Lemmy's mom, but to moms everywhere. Sappy business aside, Lemmy's mother gave her son a pick today, knowing that the Free NBA Picks have been a little off lately.

Utah Jazz -1 over the Los Angeles Lakers

Lemmy's mother feels that the Jazz will make like a tree and leave Utah with the series tied at two games apiece.

Good luck!

Finally!

The Jazz beat the Lakers 104-99 tonight in the second round of the NBA Playoffs, but more importantly, the two teams combined to score under 217 points, finally giving us another Free NBA Playoff Pick winner.

The Free NBA Picks have been struggling, and it's good to get back on track. Hopefully this is the beginning of another hot streak!

Let's Try This Again

We have one more Free NBA Pick before we re-visit the system, so play at your own risk.

Los Angeles Lakers/Utah Jazz UNDER 217

Good luck

Two Free NBA Picks Wednesday

We've hit a bit of a rough patch with our Free NBA Playoff Picks, and we're a little confused as to why. We're hesistant to tinker with the system at the moment, because according to our calculations, the current formula should be producing winners at the 65-70 percent clip we have become accustomed to.

It is likely that this current string of bad luck is nothing more than that--bad luck. We've missed three covers by one point in the last week, and think the basketball will start bouncing our way again in a matter of time. Like right now.

Even with this mini-losing streak, our system shows two plays with solid value tonight, and we're going to continue to weather the storm with confidence that our system will prevail as it has so many times in the past.

Utah Jazz +7 over the Los Angeles Lakers
Detroit Pistons/Orlando Magic UNDER 187

Carlos Boozer and the Jazz should close the gap on Lamar Odom's Lakers, and if nothing else, keep it within seven. Out East, we expect a low scoring game, and plenty of that defense seen above by Rasheed Wallace on Hedo Turkoglu.

Good luck and let's get this thing back on track!

Second Round NBA Playoff Over

Once again, there were no system plays yesterday, but we've got another Free NBA Playoff Pick tomorrow.

Los Angeles Lakers/Utah Jazz OVER 212

Kobe Bryant and the Lakers will set the tempo in what should be a fast paced game against Andrei Kirilenko and the Jazz.

This will be just our second play all weekend, which is far less than we would like to be playing, but we've stuck to our systems in the past and have been rewarded with cold hard cash in return. That said, this should be the biggest drought we see in a while, since our Free MLB Picks usually start to pick up steam in the middle of May after a month and change has been played and is factored into the system for the new season.

The NBA Playoffs are Here

We have on playoff play today:

Houston Rockets -1 over Utah Jazz

Good luck!

Spurs Cover for 2-0 Day

On the last day of the regular season, we had the same kind of results we've been getting all year--winners. The Spurs beat down the Jazz 109-80, giving us a 2-0 day and a 40-20 record on the year, which is 67%

We will continue our Free NBA Picks throughout the playoffs, so make sure to keep checking Stock Lemon and keep winning money.

Regular Season Finale

We have one NBA play to close out the season.

San Antonio Spurs -4 over the Utah Jazz

Good luck!

UPDATE: We are adding the Chicago Bulls -5 1/2 over the Toronto Raptors. The game starts in about five minutes so get this in quick!

Jazz and Hornets Over

We have one Free NBA Pick today with moderate value.

Utah Jazz/New Orleans Hornets OVER 210

Our Free NBA Picks are 34-18, which is 65%, including back-to-back wins.

Jazz Win Big

Our Free NBA Picks are definitely back on track now, as the Jazz beat the Spurs 90-64 and easily covered a measily two point spread.

The win gives us back-to-back covers, improving our Free NBA Picks record to 34-18, which is 65% on the year.

Jazz the Free NBA Pick Tonight

We had a nice win yesterday and we're looking to keep this momentum going tonight.

Utah Jazz -2 over San Antonio Spurs

Home-court advantage, among other things, should be enought to help Deron Williams and the Jazz edge Tony Parker and the Spurs.
Good luck!

Bobcats and Jazz Over Covers

The Bobcats and Jazz combined for 234 points in the 128-106 win for the Jazz. They only needed to combine for 207. The over gives us yet another Free NBA Pick victory.

Here are our updated records:

Overall Free NBA Pick Record: 31-13... 70%
Record in last 21: 17-4... 81%
