Betting on the NBA Draft

The NBA Draft is tomorrow, which means you can finally bet on something other than baseball! If you have the chance, take any of these bets, because this is how tomorrow's NBA Draft order will go.

1. Chicago Bulls- Derrick Rose
There's no way the Bulls pass on the Memphis point guard.

2. Miami Heat- Michael Beasley
Despite rumors that the Heat might take Mayo, Beasley has too much value to pass on.

3. Minnesota Timberwolves- O.J. Mayo
The Timberwolves will gladly scoop up whatever the Heat pass on.

4. Seattle SuperSonics- Jerryd Bayless
Seattle's been enamored with Bayless for months.

5. Memphis Grizzlies- Kevin Love
The Grizzlies, like the rest of the NBA, are truely in Love with this kid.

As the draft nears, these odds might get worse and worse, so act now! As we type, the odds on Rose to Chicago are already down to -600.

Small Interleague Play

We have one small play for today.

New York Mets -170 over the Seattle Mariners

Good luck!

Brewers and Orioles Come Through

For the second day in a row, one of our Free MLB Picks was in the Orioles/Brewers series. This time, though, we came out on top. The Brewers edged the O's 3-2, well under the 9 runs that the over/under was set at.

With this win, our Free MLB Picks are now 13-7, and 6-1 in their last seven.

More Brewers and Orioles

Yesterday, we had the Brewers to beat the Orioles and it didn't happen. Today, we're looking for better luck in this series with a total.

Brewers/Orioles UNDER 9

These two teams used up all of their offense in yesterday's 8-5 slugfest, so we expect them to come back down to Earth today.

Padres Win

The Padres beat the Tigers last night, 6-2, ending their four game winning streak. The game would have been part of a streak for our Free MLB Picks here at Stock Lemon, but unfortunately the Orioles downed the Brewers giving us a 1-1 day.

Our new Free MLB Pick system is now 12-7.

Two Free MLB Picks Today

Our Free MLB Picks have won four in a row, and the new system is now 11-6. We are looking for five and six straight today with two picks.

Milwaukee Brewers ML (-140) over the Baltimore Orioles

San Diego Padres ML (-128) over the Detroit Tigers

Good luck!

Diamondbacks Make it Four Straight

Our new Free MLB Pick system, which relies more on pitching match-ups and home favorites, started off very mediocre at 7-6. Thanks to last night's 11-1 stomping of the A's at the hands of the Diamondbacks, those picks are now 11-6 and winners of four straight.

As the weather heats up, so do we, so get the word out about Stock Lemon. Tell your brothers, sisters, friends, enemies, co-workers, bossess, and whomever else you might run into on the street. Lemmy won't let them down.

Wednesday, June 18, 2008

Another Interleague Play

We have another interleague Free MLB Pick today with our new system, which is now 10-6.

Arizona Diamondbacks -145 over the Oakland Athletics

Good luck!

Brewers Win!

The Brewers hammered the Blue Jays 7-0 yesterday, relying on homers from just about everybody to get the job done. As we said over at The Bucky Channel yesterday, we had faith in Manny Parra, and while the Brewers offense got the job done, you can never argue with a pitcher giving up no runs through seven innings.

The Brewers win gives our new Free MLB Pick system a 10-6 record.

Special Tuesday Lemmy Channel Episode

To go along with some of the interests of The Bucky Channel's readers, The Lemmy Channel was moved to today rather than its regular prime time slot on Monday.

More specifically, this week's edition highlights the Free MLB Pick of the Milwaukee Brewers over the Toronto Blue Jays, which starts momentarily.

With that, we end our five episode premiere of The Lemmy Channel. Fear not, though, as The Lemmy Channel will resume on The Bucky Channel at a later date.

Lemmy Has a New Friend

Lemmy, meet the Cash Shark. Cash Shark, meet Lemmy.

In case you missed it, Lemmy recently added Cash Shark to his list of friends--and Cash Shark is a good friend to have. This new site focuses on making money on-line, and will reveal several industry secrets over the next few months on just how you can make money from your own home.

Like Lemmy, the Cash Shark's goal is to make its readers money, so be sure to check him out if you're looking for even more free cash.

Interleague Action Tonight

The picks in our Free MLB Picks system have been sporadic lately, as the numbers on interleague play are not as solid. We do have one interleague play tonight.

Milwaukee Brewers -122 over the Toronto Blue Jays

Good luck!

One Last(?) NBA Finals Bet

After no plays yesterday, we have one tonight on what could be the last game of the NBA season tonight.

Lakers/Celtics UNDER 190.5

Good luck, and let's hope this isn't the last game we get to see for the year.

A's Win For 2-0 Day!

The A's beat the Giants out on the West Coast, giving us a 2-0 night and improving our new Free MLB Pick system to 9-6. Not great, but better.

We should have more plays tomorrow, so keep checking back and spread the word about Stock Lemon--we feel a hot streak coming.

Rays of Hope For Our System

Our new-ish Free MLB Pick system has not lived up to expectations at 7-6 coming into today, but maybe our luck is about to turn. B.J. Upton and the up-and-coming Tampa Bay Rays beat the Florida Marlins 7-3, improving the system to 8-6 in case your addition skills aren't up to par. We have another in-state inter-league rivalry game pending between the A's and Giants, and certainly wouldn't mind a 2-0 day to spark a nice winning streak out of this system.

Stay tuned.

Two More Free MLB Picks

We have two plays today, one of them being the A's after they let us down last night.

Oakland A's ML (-118) over the San Francisco Giants

Tampa bay Rays ML (-140) over the Florida Marlins

Good luck!

Check Please!

As you've probably noticed, we use Google ads on our site as part of Google's Adsense program. We do this for two main reasons. First, the links are always relevent in relation to our content, so oftentimes we get advertisements for other free sports or stocks insight that our readers might find helpful to them. Secondly, it brings a little bit of extra cash our way, just in case any of the Lakers' players fall asleep on the court in one of the biggest games of their lives, hypothetically of course.

Recently, though, we came across a photo of this check that an Adsense user received for just one month. We can assure you that our checks look nothing like that.

The photo, as the not-so-subtle watermark suggests, is from ShoeMoney.com, and yes, that says $132,994.97. For one month! Anyway, we just thought we'd share and dispel the notion that we are making anything even close to that amount, since we're sure many of you were curious.

MLB and NBA Picks Tonight

We have one pick with our new Free MLB Pick system, and one Free NBA Pick on the NBA Finals:

Oakland Athletics ML (+105) over the New York Yankees

Los Angeles Lakers -7 over the Boston Celtics

Good luck!

Wednesday, June 11, 2008

Another Free MLB Pick

Our new Free MLB Pick system is now 7-4 with one game tonight.

Philadelphia Phillies -146 over the Florida Marlins

3-1 MLB Day!

As you may have noticed, we decided to do something we rarely ever do on major sporting events--not place a bet. We had no strong leans on Game 3 of the NBA Finals between the Celtics and Lakers, so we decided to sit back and enjoy some quality basketball.

Just because there wasn't a Free NBA Pick, though, doesn't mean that we didn't bet at all today. In fact, we focused on the MLB and played all four games from our new system. The results: a profitable 3-1 day.

The Rangers (+106) topped the Royals, the Rockies (-177) edged the Giants, and the Blue Jays (-180) took care of the Mariners, improving this new system to 7-4 after a couple of rough games yesterday.

Our regular Free MLB Pick system was uncharacteristically hovering around .500 to start the year, and while we plan on playing some of those games in the future, we are sticking with this new system geared toward home favorites and pitching match-ups.

All or Nothing With the New System

After a tough day yesterday, we still intend to play every game of this new system for the time being, since it has been successful when we weren't posting these plays. What we didn't expect, though, was for the system to have four plays today. Regardless, we're sticking to our word and playing all four. Keep in mind that this system is relatively new, so play these at your own risk.

Texas Rangers +106 over the Kansas City Royals
New York Mets -143 over the Arizona Diamondbacks
Colorado Rockies -177 over the San Francisco Giants
Toronto Blue Jays -180 over the Seattle Mariners

Good luck!

This Week On The Lemmy Channel...

With no NBA Finals action and a small slate of MLB today, this Monday is the perfect time to tune into The Bucky Channel for the latest episode of The Lemmy Channel!

This week, Lemmy reiterates his position on the unders in Milwaukee Brewer games, which are hitting over 61% on the year, including 10-3 since Lemmy advised The Bucky Channel's readers to go under on their local team.

Chalk it Up!

With this new Free MLB Picks system which is off to a 4-1 start, we have declared that we will play every play in the system, even if that means dealing with huge amounts of chalk. In the interest of being true to our word, we have two plays for Monday.

New York Yankees ML (-218!) over the Kansas City Royals

Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim ML (-135) over the Tampa Bay Rays

We know, we know, -218 is borderline insane. But we're willing to lay this much wood so long as these picks keep winning.

Good luck!

NBA Finals Continue Tonight

Game 2 of the NBA Finals is tonight, and our Free NBA Picks are ready to go.

Los Angeles Lakers -1 over the Boston Celtics

The Celtics have been tough at home, but they are beatable, and that will be the case tonight. Forget about Kobe Bryant, Lamar Odom, and Pau Gasol. Forget about Kevin Garnett, Ray Allen, and Paul Pierce. The key match-up isn't between the players--it's between the coaches.

Phil Jackson has been in this situation before, and sooner rather than later, Doc Rivers will coach the Celtics right out of a ring. Paul Pierce will have to fake more than one injury in Game 2 if the C's plan on taking a two game advantage in the series. (UPDATE: We thought it was obvious that we were joking around about Paul Pierce's injury after Phil Jackson questioned its legitimacy. Most of our readers have thick enough skin not to get too up in arms about a small comment such as this, and we thank you for that, readers. Now let's put the drama aside and win some cash!)

Yankees Cover!

They didn't exactly shut the Royals out, but either way, the Yankees got the win and improved our new Free MLB Picks system to 4-1.

It went down to the last batter in the bottom of the ninth, but we'll take the 12-11 victory by the Yankees--and we'll take this kind of success from our new system as well.

Saturday Baseball

Our New Free MLB Pick system is 3-1, and we have one play for Saturday.

New York Yankees -178 over the Kansas City Royals

Alex Rodriguez and the Yanks are the play, even though it means laying some huge chalk for a second straight day (you can't say that we didn't warn you).

Good luck!

Astros Cover!

The Houston Astros beat the St. Louis Cardinals 6-1 yesterday, giving us a 1-1 day and making our new system 3-1.

Unfortunately, the Blue Jays were unable to handle the Orioles, thus giving this experimental new system its first loss.

We could be laying some heavy juice in the next couple of days (as we did with the Jays) as we try to figure out the value of this new system. Stay tuned!

Two More Plays For Our New System

After unveiling a new system heavily influenced by the ERA of the starting pitchers, our Free MLB Picks have won back-to-back games. Today, this system gives us two plays--if you're willing to lay some HUGE chalk on one of them.

Toronto Blue Jays ML -170 over the Baltimore Orioles

Houston Astros ML -115 over the St. Louis Cardinals

We usually don't lay this much chalk--ever--but we're trying it out just for the sake of the new system.

Good luck!

The NBA Finals Are Here!

As excited as we are to see the NBA Finals begin tonight, it always makes us a little sad to know that a very profitable sport is coming to an end. Still, we plan on making this NBA season even more profitable with a successful run of Free NBA Picks in the Finals.

For starters, we feel like the Lakers have the edge over the Celtics. Kobe Bryant is finally the MVP and he'll further justify that award with a strong finals performance. Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, or Ray Allen won't be able to stop him.

We're aware that the Celtics beat the Lakers in both of their regular season meetings, but we're also aware that both games were pre-Pau Gasol. Since stealing Gasol from the Grizzlies, the Lakers have been a different team.

Though we like the Lakers to win the series, we're also laying off the spread tonight. The excitement of Game 1 in Boston could give the Celtics an edge that the Lakers can't overcome in their first meeting. Fortunately, there's an even better play on the board

Los Angeles Lakers/Boston Celitcs OVER 191 1/2

We haven't actually taken this yet as the line keeps dropping and are trying to get the lowest possible total for the over, but we will snatch it up shortly.

Make sure to check back here throughout the NBA Finals for more free winners.

Take the Day Off

We're still in the process of tweaking our old system, and our new Free MLB Pick system which relies heavily on good pitchers (and has started 2-0) has nothing for us today, so go ahead and enjoy your hump day.

We'll be back tomorrow with a Free NBA Pick on the Celtics and Lakers Game 1 of the NBA Finals that you won't want to miss. See you then!

Back-to-Back Wins For Our New System

So far, so good for our new system.

Thanks to a six-run seventh, the Toronto Blue Jays toppled the New York Yankees 9-3 Tuesday, giving us back-to-back Free MLB Picks.

As we stated yesterday, we'll be using the new system while we tweak our other, more proven methods, but if this success continues, we might end up using both.

Your Democratic Candidate is...

You might recall back on February 10 when we took Barack Obama at 5/8 odds to win the democratic nomination for the 2008 presidential election. Now, nearly four months later, we're finally collecting a paycheck.

Barack Obama wrapped it up today, and although Hillary Clinton hung around longer than expected, it was well worth the wait.

Next up for Barack: a head-to-head bout with 71 year-old Republican John McCain. And of course, we'll have a wager on that match-up as well.

One Free MLB Pick Tonight

We're posting this a little late but hopefully you can get on it.

Toronto Blue Jays ML +105 over the New York Yankees

We like Roy Halladay and the Jays to edge Joba Chamberlain's Yankees. The game starts in about a half hour so get on this one quick!

Good luck!

Brewers Make New System a Success!

Our first play with the new system is a success!

The Milwaukee Brewers took care of the Arizona Diamondbacks at home tonight, 4-3, to give us a much needed Free MLB Pick win. The Brewers fought back from a 3-1 defecit, and a solo shot by Prince Fielder eventually gave them--and more importantly, us--the victory.

As we mentioned in the previous post, as well as over at The Bucky Channel, the Brewers are now 7-1 in their last eight games and the unders in Brewer games are also 7-1 in their last eight. We probably wouldn't be paying so much attention to these trends if not for our new partnership with those Wisconsinites, and since they're making us money, we ought to thank them for teaming up with us. (Sorry, was that too cheesey?)

We will be using this system for the time being while we tweak our old one, and if it continues to produce winners, we could eventually use both systems. Which means, of course, more picks!

Don't Change That Channel!

By now, we're sure you're familiar with our newfound relationship with the fine folks over at The Bucky Channel. We've teamed up with them to create a weekly feature on their site, aptly titled The Lemmy Channel, in which we offer their readers betting insight on the world of sports (particularly from Wisconsin's perspective).

Last week, we stated that both their beloved Milwaukee Brewers and the under in Brewer games were good bets for the week, and since then both have gone 6-1 with tonight's game pending. Tonight's Brewer game against the Arizona Diamondbacks also happens to be our first Free MLB Pick with the new system.

Check out this week's episode here, and be sure to check back every Monday as we try to help the people of The Dairy Land make some extra cheese. And money.

New June MLB System

Our Free MLB Picks have been slumping, and we think it's time to unveil our new system for the month of June.

This system has been hitting over 70% this year but we haven't played it because it is the first year and is still relatively unproven. It tends to favor home teams and relies heavily and pitching match-ups and trends in teams last five to ten games. That said, here's the first play!

Milwaukee Brewers -131 over the Arizona Diamondbacks

The Brewers have been hot, and our friends over at The Bucky Channel will appreciate this play.

Good luck!

Sunday Baseball

As we're sure you figured out, there were no system plays on Saturday, but we're back with a Free MLB Pick today.

Philadelphia Phillies/Florida Marlins UNDER 11

Good luck!
