2009 NBA Mock Draft: Picks 11-12

The 2009 NBA Draft begins Thursday, but our 2009 NBA Mock Draft is in full force and nearing the finish line. We have two more installments remaining as we continue to mock the lottery picks, so you'll have plenty of time to digest the picks today and tomorrow before the real deal on Thursday.

11. Nets: Earl Clark, G/F, Louisville

Welcome to the freak athlete portion of our mock draft, starring Earl Clark. The Nets are looking for some youth at the shooting guard or small forward position, and Clark is a great athlete with an explosive first step. His size and energy will be very valuable to the Nets, but he needs to find more consistency with his shot and improve on his ability to beat defenders on the perimeter. Regardless, Clark should be able to come in and contribute immediately.

12. Bobcats: Gerald Henderson, G/F, Duke

The other half of our freak athlete edition, Mr. Henderson, can bring a lot of explosiveness to the Bobcats. He doesn't have ideal size for either the shooting guard or small forward position really, but he has more natural ability than many of the twos and threes currently in the league. Henderson can absolutely fly through the air, and the Bobcats would love to take advantage of his great leaping ability. While it's not certain he'll fall to pick No. 12, you can bet that the Bobcats are hoping that he does.

Stay tuned for the final two picks of our 2009 NBA Mock Draft tomorrow. Until then, be sure to check out the previous picks located in the upper right hand corner of our blog.

Free NCAA Basketball Pick Madness

Who will earn the right to get spanked by Louisville on Friday? It'll either be Morehead State or Alabama State, meeting in the opening round game of the NCAA Tournament.

And, would you look at that, we have ourselves our first Free NCAA Basketballl Pick of the tournament!

Alabama State +3 1/2 over Morehead State

The one thing everybody seems to want is Morehead, but in this case, we would advise Alabama State. This line seemed a bit off to us right away, and our system confirmed that Alabama State could be favored tonight.

March Madness is here! Good luck!

Another Free NCAA Basketball Pick

We'll try to get these out sooner, but get on this Free NCAA Basketball Pick if you still have time.

Pittsburgh +2 over Louisville

Our picks are just 2-1, as we've only made (let's see... 2 + 1) three bets thus far.

Good luck!

A Random College Basketball Pick

Our Free NCAA Basketball Picks are extremely sporadic, but are usually pretty successful when there is value on the board.

Of course, around tournament time we lower our standards so that we can make more bets--more for fun than for profit--but during the season, the picks have to have a lot of value in order for us to play them. Fortunately for us, after a few days without any picks, we have a college basketball play for tonight.

Louisville -15 over Ole Miss

This is only the second Free NCAA Basketball Pick of the year, in case you didn't believe us about rarely having plays in this sport. So far we're hitting 100% of our picks and fully anticipate keeping that impressive record throughout the year.

Good luck!

Fun With NFL Draft Prop Bets

The Miami Dolphins made Michigan tackle Jake Long the first overall pick in the NFL Draft, reminding us that the draft is fast approaching. We'll wager on plenty of NFL Draft prop bets this weekend, and of course, we'll try to get as many "cocrect" as possible.

That said, we've found our first juicy bet on Bodog.

The prop is: Who will be the second QB drafted?

We think it's almost a lock that Louisville's Brian Brohm is the second quarterback selected, after Boston College's Matt Ryan--and we don't use the word "lock" often. At 5/6 odds, this is still a pretty good value, but we'd imagine the odds will only get worse as the draft approaches.

Brohm was once considered a Top 10 pick earlier in the year, and there is no reason for the other options (Delaware's Joe Flacco, Michigan's Chad Henne, and the talented Other) to be picked higher than Brohm.

We'll have more draft pick props in the coming days, so be sure to make us your home for NFL Draft prop bets.

Thursday Tourney Picks

We have some Free NCAA Picks for the Tournament action tonight, but as a reminder, play these smaller than you would a Free NBA Pick. Our system is not nearly as developed as our proven Free NBA Picks, which are hitting over 74% in the last 23 games. That being said, here are a couple of our plays:

Louisville -3 over Tennesse

North Carolina/Washington State UNDER 141

A couple more on the way...
